We are a team of construction consultants, providing services in three main core areas: Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Consultancy.

Our key strengths lie in our experience, expertise and attention to detail. We focus on service, cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction, regardless of project size. We recognise that every project is different and we work tirelessly to deliver solutions that are designed especially for you.

Our reputation is built on excellent relationships with our clients, with much of our work coming from repeat business. Based in Essex, we provide a nationwide service across a number of sectors including education, local authority, retail, healthcare, residential and a wide range of commercial projects.

  • 1990

    Apex Project Management Ltd, founded by Mark Freeman

  • 1993

    Commenced providing Quantity Surveying services

  • 1994

    Relocated to Epping to allow for an expansion of workforce

  • 1994

    Commenced providing Planning Supervisor services in line with CDM Regulations

  • 1997

    Gained Quality Management accreditation (ISO 9001)

  • 1997

    Achieved corporate membership of the Association for Project Safety

  • 2003

    Changed our company name to Apex Project Consultants Ltd

  • 2004

    Relocated to new HQ building in Chelmsford to allow for further expansion of resources

  • 2004

    Chris Jackson appointed as Director

  • 2007

    Introduction of CDM2015 Regulations, CDM Co-ordinators retrained in accordance

  • 2009

    Became part of the BSD group of companies, rebranded to trade as BSD Apex

  • 2009

    Achieved CHAS accreditation

  • 2010

    Gained Environmental Management accreditation (ISO14001)

  • 2015

    Introduction of CDM2015 Regulations, CDM Co-ordinators retrained in accordance

    Rebranded to Apex Project Consultants and launched new identity

  • Mark Freeman

    Managing Director

    Mark is our lead for Project Management and CDM Consultancy services.

    A trained Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager, Mark established Apex in 1990 and has successfully developed the services we deliver to a diverse range of clients throughout the UK. Mark is a member of the Association for Project Managers and a registered member of the Association for Project Safety.

  • Chris Jackson

    Director

    Chris is our lead for Quantity Surveying services.

    Chris joined Apex in 1997 as an experienced Quantity Surveyor. Since then, Chris has further developed his knowledge, skills and experience in Project Management and CDM Consultancy. Chris is company lead for QS Pro, our bespoke QS software package. Chris is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

    Director

    David gained experience in private consultancy, healthcare and local government before founding BSD in 1991 and became actively involved in the day to day management of Apex after we joined the BSD Group of companies in 2009.

    David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineer, a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
